The 11-minute cover also features members of Skynyrd, including original guitarist Gary Rossington and former drummer Artimus Pyle. Parton's rendition now serves as an epitaph for Rossington, who passed away in March. Parton hopes to incorporate footage of Rossington and Van Zant into a possible music video for the song.
