Sun Radio Launches 'Radiothon' to Recover from Fraudulent Donation
Sun Radio, a popular radio network in Central Texas, held a "radiothon" fundraiser to recover financially after a significant fraudulent donation and equipment damages from an ice storm. The station had its bank accounts frozen for two months due to the fraudulent donation, and insurance won't cover much of the solar panel damage caused by falling ice. The funds raised will support the Sun Radio Recharge program, which helps local musicians during times of need. As of Saturday afternoon, the station has received over $35,000 in donations.
