NFL Champion and Browns Legend Frank Ryan Passes Away at 87
Frank Ryan, the former quarterback who led the Cleveland Browns to their last NFL title in 1964, has passed away at the age of 87. He died in a nursing home in Connecticut after battling Alzheimer's disease. His family has donated his brain to Boston University's CTE Center for research, suspecting that CTE contributed to his Alzheimer's. Ryan was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and after his NFL career, he served as the athletic director at Yale for a decade. The Browns and the sports community remember him as an icon and a championship-winning quarterback.
