Multiple Inmate Deaths Reported at Oklahoma County Detention Center
The Oklahoma County Detention Center has reported the fifth detainee death this year, with Frank Ramirez being discovered in his cell "in distress" and dying at a nearby hospital shortly after officials began life-saving measures. Ramirez was booked into the detention center in August 2021, and the state’s medical examiner is working to release an official cause of death while the investigation is ongoing.
