UTSA QB McCown Leads Roadrunners to Historic Bowl Victory
UTSA's star quarterback Frank Harris was sidelined with a sprained shoulder, leading to redshirt freshman Owen McCown, son of former NFL player Josh McCown, starting at quarterback in UTSA's first-ever bowl game. McCown completed 22 of 31 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns, leading UTSA to a 35-17 victory over Marshall. Harris, despite not being able to play, supported and mentored McCown throughout the game. UTSA finished the season with a 9-4 record.
