Greta Gerwig Takes Charge of Narnia Franchise for Netflix
Greta Gerwig is reportedly set to direct a feature film version of The Chronicles of Narnia books for Netflix, following her upcoming Barbie movie. While no official announcement has been made, Gerwig is said to have a deal to direct two films in the Narnia franchise. Netflix acquired the rights to the book series in 2018 but has yet to announce any projects based on it. Gerwig's involvement with Narnia marks her trajectory towards bigger-budget filmmaking and adaptation, following her success with Lady Bird and Little Women.
