Tip Top Tux, a formalwear chain with locations in 14 states, including two in Lincoln, abruptly closed its doors, leaving wedding parties scrambling to find alternative formal wear for upcoming events. The closure came with little warning, leaving customers without notice and employees without jobs. Clients are now left to dispute payments and find alternative options for their weddings.

David's Bridal files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announces mass layoffs.

David's Bridal, one of the largest wedding gown sellers in the US, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and is looking to sell the company. The retailer is currently open and fulfilling orders for brides without disruption. This is the second time the company has filed for bankruptcy in the last five years.
