Garmin has announced new software features for its Epix Pro and Fenix 7 Pro watches, including new metrics, weather overlays on maps, split-screen data pages, and more. These features will also be available on existing Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Tactix 7, Epix, and MARQ 2 units in the Q3 quarterly update. The Forerunner 955 and 965 will also receive some of these features, including new metrics and weather overlays, but some features may not be available due to hardware differences.
Garmin's Forerunner 955 is the most feature-packed watch in the Forerunner series, with a touchscreen display, solar charging option, and multi-band GPS support. It also features new Training Readiness scores and assessments, using sleep score history, heart rate variability, stress history, recovery time, and Acute Training Load feature to assess how ready you are to exercise every day. While the UI could be more intuitive, Garmin's free, in-depth health metrics and training analysis continue to be a strong suit, making the Forerunner 955 a top choice for runners and cyclists.
