This conclusion contradicts claims made by some individuals, including Mexican journalist José Jaime Maussan, who presented supposed mummies found in Peru as non-human beings. The objects were intended for a Mexican citizen, and the prosecutor's office is still investigating ownership.

Girl sets deadly fire in Guyana school dormitory over confiscated phone

A dormitory fire at Mahdia Secondary School in Guyana killed 19 students and injured several others. The fire was set by a 14-year-old female student after her cellphone was confiscated when her affair with an older man was revealed. The suspect is expected to be released from the hospital this week and will be held in juvenile detention. Most of the victims were Indigenous girls from remote communities near Mahdia. The police are expected to arrest the man she was in a relationship with for statutory rape. Guyana has accepted help from the US and other countries that volunteered to send forensic experts to assist with DNA identification.
