
Exclusive, Stirring Scene from 'Rudy' Director's Cut Delivers a Victorious Punch
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic underdog football movie "Rudy," a director's cut is being released with 13 extra minutes of never-before-seen footage, including five deleted scenes. One of the new scenes features a stirring speech by Ned Beatty's character, explaining why Notre Dame football is so important to him and his immigrant background. The director's cut also includes additional screen time for Vince Vaughn's character and Greta Lind's sportswriter character, making them more significant figures in the story. An alternate ending and a scene with kids emulating Rudy's journey are also included.
