Meta's Threads social network is introducing two new features, including a "Reposts" tab for profiles, allowing users to view all their reposted content in one place. Additionally, the Following Feed will now display reposts from people you follow, expanding beyond original posts. These updates come as Meta continues to work on bigger changes for Threads, such as a desktop version and advanced search features.
Instagram's Threads app has added reposts (retweets) to its reverse-chronological "Following" feed, making it more useful for users. Meta has also introduced a reposts tab on profiles to easily find reposted threads. These updates may not be enough to attract lapsed users back to the platform, but CEO Mark Zuckerberg has hinted at improved search and a web client coming soon.
Instagram Threads is introducing a Following feed, a highly requested feature that allows users to see posts only from the people they follow. The feed can be toggled on and off by tapping the home icon or Threads logo, but reopening the app may revert it back to the "For You" feed. The update also includes translations, accessible through a button on the bottom right of a post. Previously, Threads only displayed algorithm-determined posts from users and brands.
