The San Francisco Bay Area is experiencing May gray with heavy cloud cover and patchy drizzle. The region is expected to have cloudy skies and chilly temperatures through Memorial Day weekend, with heavy cloud cover in the mornings and nights. However, the fog may be lighter and clear earlier on Saturday and Sunday due to a weak high-pressure system. Afternoon highs are predicted to be 5 to 15 degrees below normal, with coastal and bay front locations in the 50s to low 60s and inland valleys in the 60s to mid-70s. Another trough of low pressure will bring in heavier fog on Monday, but temperatures won't be greatly impacted.
