
"Rare Invasive Alligator Snapping Turtle 'Fluffy' Discovered in Cumbrian Tarn"
An alligator snapping turtle, native to the southern US, was discovered in Cumbria, UK, by a lake. The turtle, named Fluffy, has a powerful jaw and rugged shell, and despite being unaccustomed to the cooler climate, it was found to be relatively healthy. Fluffy will soon be relocated to a specialist wildlife centre in Cornwall.
