Stowaway on Paris Flight Released Under Strict Conditions
Svetlana Dali, a 57-year-old U.S. permanent resident, was released from federal custody with strict pretrial conditions after being charged with boarding a New York-to-Paris flight as a stowaway. She must undergo GPS monitoring, adhere to a curfew, and is banned from airports. Dali, who faces up to five years in prison if convicted, is restricted to Philadelphia and the Eastern District of New York. Concerns about her flight risk were raised due to previous attempts to sneak onto flights. Dali admitted to boarding the flight without a ticket, acknowledging her actions were illegal.
