FlashShifter, the creator of the popular Stardew Valley Expanded mod, went from financial trouble after a car theft to working with Stardew Valley creator Eric 'Concerned Ape' Barone. After being laid off during COVID, FlashShifter taught themselves various skills and eventually got hired by Barone. The modder's work on Stardew Valley Expanded continues with plans for a 2.0 update featuring new adventures and combat-focused gameplay.
