Minnesota Native Shatters Record on Superior Hiking Trail
Andrea Larson, an ultrarunner and adventure racer, set a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) on Minnesota's Superior Hiking Trail (SHT), completing the 310-mile trail in just 6 days and 10 hours. Larson, who had never attempted an FKT or thru-hiked before, decided to take on the challenge and completed it unsupported, carrying all her supplies with her. Her accomplishment not only highlights her personal achievement but also brings attention to the lesser-known but stunningly beautiful Superior Hiking Trail.
