Yankees lock in Bellinger on a lucrative multi-year pact
The New York Yankees re-signed Cody Bellinger to a five-year, $162.5 million contract with a $20 million signing bonus, a full no-trade clause, no deferred money, and opt-outs after the second and third seasons. The 30-year-old had a standout 2025 season (.272/.334/.480, 29 HR, 98 RBI, 13 SB in 152 games) with strong defensive metrics, enabling the Yankees to envision a powerful 2026 lineup alongside Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. After leading MLB in runs in the regular season, New York was eliminated by the Blue Jays in the ALDS in 2025.
