Sharks lock in Kiefer Sherwood with five-year, $28.75M extension
The San Jose Sharks announced a five-year, $28.75 million contract extension for forward Kiefer Sherwood, keeping him in San Jose after acquiring him from Vancouver in January for Cole Clayton and 2026/2027 second-round picks. In five games with the Sharks this season he has two points (one goal, one assist) and a game-winning goal, and he leads the team in hits since debuting Feb. 4. Sherwood has a career NHL resume of 314 games and 123 points, plus strong AHL numbers and two hat tricks this season.
