"24 Fishermen Saved from Sinking Ship"
A Japanese coast guard helicopter rescued 24 fishermen from a half-submerged ship off an island chain southwest of Tokyo after it stalled due to an engine failure in rough seas, with one crewmember found dead and another missing. The ship, Fukuei Maru No. 8, had departed from Yaizu Port in central Japan en route to South America for tuna fishing before hitting rocks and drifting in the Pacific Ocean.
