YouTuber spends $40K on sealed first-gen iPhone unboxing.
YouTuber Marques Brownlee paid $43,000 for a sealed first-gen 8GB iPhone and unboxed it on his channel. The phone came with all the original accessories and packaging, but the charging brick was defective and the software was too old to get past the iTunes boot screen. First-gen iPhones have been selling for high prices at auctions, with one selling for a record $63,356 in February. Most of these phones are expected to be tucked away in private collections, but some are being unboxed by collectors.
