Ohio Officer Defends Use of Police Dog on Black Man in Controversial K-9 Incident

Body camera footage shows fired Ohio police officer, Ryan Speakman, defending his decision to release a police dog on Jadarrius Rose, a Black man with his hands raised during a traffic stop. Colorado Cop Caught on Camera Punching Handcuffed Woman in the Face.

A Colorado police officer, Russell Maranto, has been fired after being caught on bodycam punching a handcuffed woman, Angelia Hall, in the face. Hall had spat at Maranto while being held in a hospital emergency room. Loveland Police Chief Tim Doran cited the unnecessary use of force as the reason for Maranto's firing and urged the public to watch the complete 90-minute body camera footage of the incident. The incident is being investigated by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, and Hall has been charged with third-degree assault for her actions towards the fired officer.

Virginia Officer Fired and Bodycam Video Released in Fatal Shooting

A Virginia police officer who fatally shot Timothy Johnson during an alleged shoplifting incident has been fired, and bodycam footage of the incident has been released. Johnson was killed by police responding to a reported theft at Tysons Corner Center mall. The officer who fired the fatal shot was served an "administrative separation" for "failure to live up to our expectation," according to the police chief. Johnson's family and their attorney viewed the video and called the death "an execution."
