Tragic House Fire Claims Lives of 5 Children as Father Shops for Christmas
Four grandchildren of an Arizona fire inspector, along with a young cousin, were killed in a house fire while their father was out Christmas shopping. The children, aged 2, 4, 5, 11, and 13, were trapped in an upstairs bedroom as the fire started in the downstairs foyer and traveled up the stairs. The father reported being gone for approximately 2.5 hours. The victims were grandchildren of a Bullhead City Fire Department employee, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. A vigil is planned to honor the victims.
