Colbert Announces The Late Show Final Episode Date
Stephen Colbert said on Late Night With Seth Meyers that The Late Show will end with a May 21, 2026 finale, about four months from the interview. CBS had previously announced the end in May 2026 for financial reasons, not due to performance. Colbert emphasized he’ll miss the staff and the Ed Sullivan Theater as he nears the end of his tenure since 2015.
