Six members of Penn State's Olympic Regional Training Center/Nittany Lion Wrestling Club won at the Final X event and will represent the US at the 2023 Senior World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. Five of the US Men's Freestyle World Team train in Happy Valley, with Penn State and the RTC/NLWC having half of the members of Team USA's men's freestyle team headed to Belgrade. The event also featured a lengthy list of 'true third' matches, which determined the third member of the US National Team at each weight class.

The USA Wrestling world team trials process culminated with Final X presented by Tezos, where the winners of the best 2-of-3 series in all three styles advanced to the 2023 UWW World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The event saw several victories for the Nittany Lion WC/Titan Mercury Wrestling Club, including Kyle Dake and Kyle Snyder. Women's freestyle wrestler Adeline Gray also emerged victorious.
