Champions Launches with Final Evolutions Only, Narrowing the Pokédex at Start
Pokemon Champions will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and mobile with only fully evolved Pokémon from each evolutionary line; non-evolved forms won't be playable at launch, which could constrain the competitive meta and force players to adapt as earlier evolutions may be added later. The game is free-to-start on April 8, with mobile versions arriving later this year.
