Michael Cera's Flip Phone Excluded Him from Barbie Group Chat
Michael Cera revealed that he was left out of the group chat with the Barbies from Greta Gerwig's upcoming film because he doesn't have an iPhone and still uses a flip phone. Cera expressed that he was fine with it, as his character in the film is in his own little world. This isn't the first time Cera has expressed his aversion to modern technology. The Barbie cast also had fun on set with a mandatory pink dress code initiated by Margot Robbie, and the male crew members showed their respect and admiration by making pink crew shirts with rainbow fringe. The film, also starring Issa Rae, Emma Mackey, Kate McKinnon, America Ferrera, and Will Ferrell, will be released on July 21.
