MLB's London Series: Cubs and Cardinals Face Off in Transformed Stadium.
Murray Cook, MLB's field consultant, was tasked with transforming London Stadium into a baseball field for the Cubs and Cardinals game. Cook modified the shape of the field to find extra footage and sculpted the field with aggregate and turf. The turf was rigorously inspected to ensure safety and consistency with a Major League ballpark. Cook's top priority was safety, from the padding to the foul poles, to ensure the field is safe for players.
