"Massive Verizon Outage Hits Mid-South Region"
A widespread Verizon outage is affecting several cities in the Mid-South due to a break in an optical fiber. Verizon engineers are working to fix the fiber and restore service, but there is no estimated time for restoration. Impacted customers are advised to enable wifi calling for communication until service is restored. Calls to 911 will still go through as long as there is any available signal from any carrier.
