
Massive Stash of Stolen Retail Goods Unearthed in L.A. Backyard
California Highway Patrol's Organized Retail Theft Task Force recovered over $200,000 worth of stolen merchandise and arrested 10 suspects involved in a retail theft fencing operation. The operation, selling stolen goods at swap meets in Los Angeles, was discovered in the backyard of a private residence where the stolen merchandise was stored. The recovered items included stolen goods from Victoria's Secret, Amazon, CVS, Rite Aid, and Ralphs stores. The suspects, from the South L.A. neighborhood of Compton, were apprehended, and nearly $45,000 in cash was seized as evidence.
