Arkansas baseball managed to stay alive in the Fayetteville Regional after getting beat 20-5 by TCU in the winner's bracket game and then defeating Santa Clara 6-4 in an elimination game. Arkansas pitcher Brady Tygart gave a solid performance, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out six in 5 2/3 innings. Kendall Diggs hit a two-run homer to give Arkansas some cushion and ultimately proved to be the difference. TCU's Tre Richardson hit three home runs, including two grand slams, and drove in 11 runs to help TCU beat Arkansas 20-5.

Will McEntire gave Arkansas baseball a starter-like outing out of the bullpen in their 13-6 win over Santa Clara at the Fayetteville Regional. McEntire inherited a two-run deficit, but by the time he walked off the mound for the last time in the eighth inning, his offense had put up 13 runs and Arkansas held a comfortable lead. Peyton Holt made a leaping grab to rob JonJon Berring of an RBI single and end the fourth inning. Despite his high level of play over the last several weeks, the ESPN-Plus broadcast repeatedly called him "Tyler." Holt had to leave the game half an inning early because of an injury, but Van Horn sounded optimistic that he’d be able to play Saturday.
