13-year-old boy missing in East River after attempting dangerous jump
A 13-year-old boy, identified as Kavion Brown, disappeared in the East River in New York City after jumping in to prove to his friends that he could do it. Witnesses called 911 when he failed to resurface. Police believe he may have been trying to show off to his friends. Divers have been searching for him, but the search was temporarily suspended due to inclement weather. Foul play is not suspected, and the boy's family is keeping vigil nearby.
