Hoax Active Shooter Calls Cause Chaos at Florida Colleges
A false active shooter call at Florida International University (FIU) led to a massive police response and several buildings being evacuated. Similar incidents were reported at other South Florida colleges and universities on Tuesday morning. FIU Police later gave the all-clear, and normal campus activities were allowed to resume. The call was unfounded and "not credible."
