Luis Rubiales Faces Accusations of Inappropriate Behavior at World Cup
Luis Rubiales, the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, has been accused by the English Football Association (FA) chair, Debbie Hewitt, of inappropriately touching England players at the FIFA World Cup final. Hewitt claimed that Rubiales forcefully kissed one player and cupped and stroked the face of another, leaving her feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed. Rubiales denied the allegations and criticized Hewitt's statements. FIFA dismissed Rubiales' assessment and banned him from all football-related activities for three years. Rubiales is currently under investigation for sexual assault and coercion.
