Stellantis and Ample join forces for game-changing EV battery swapping technology
Stellantis has partnered with Ample, an EV battery swapping company, to power a fleet of shared Fiat 500e vehicles in Spain. The deal could potentially expand to include personally owned EVs in Europe and the US. Stellantis aims to address the current limitations of EV charging infrastructure by embracing battery swapping technology. Ample's system allows for quick battery swaps, taking as little as five minutes, and Stellantis plans to launch the service in Madrid in 2024.
