A suspect in a reported stolen truck led police on a dangerous chase in the Alhambra area, driving onto a sidewalk and through yards on Garfield Avenue. The suspect's erratic driving led to police pulling away from the chase at times, and at one point, the suspect backed up and knocked over a pole.
Massachusetts State Police are searching for a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Subaru Crosstrek or a Nissan Rogue, that was driving erratically on I-93 in Medford and Stoneham before a fatal rollover crash on Route 93 North in Stoneham. A 34-year-old woman was killed in the crash, and police are looking for information about the vehicle's whereabouts. The crash, which involved at least three vehicles, led to the closure of three travel lanes on the northbound side of the highway. The investigation is ongoing.
