LOKI Season 1 Undergoes Major Rewrite as Head Writer Takes Charge
Eric Martin, the head writer for season 2 of Loki, revealed that he had to rewrite a significant portion of season 1 after Michael Waldron left to work on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Martin took over as the production writer and co-wrote the finale, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had to rewrite much of the season to accommodate the new realities. Marvel later offered him the position of head writer for season 2, which he gladly accepted. Fans have praised Martin's writing, but there are debates about whether he should be given the keys to upcoming Avengers movies. Loki season 2 is receiving high praise and is on track to become Marvel Studios' best Disney+ TV series.
