Sony introduces Power Saver mode to reduce PS5 performance and energy use
PlayStation announced a new Power Saver mode for PS5 in its upcoming firmware update, allowing games to scale back performance to reduce power consumption, supporting the company's environmental goals. The feature will be available after the beta phase and will disable VR while active. The update also introduces the ability to pair a DualSense controller with up to four devices for easier switching across platforms. The beta is currently available in select countries.
