Mercedes-AMG introduces the new GT43 coupe, featuring a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 416 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, a rear-wheel-drive layout, and a mild-hybrid setup. The European model offers a 2+2 seating arrangement, with an optional all-wheel steering feature, and is set to arrive in the United States as a 2025 model year. The car is expected to be priced significantly lower than the V-8-powered GT55 coupe, and it joins other high-end models in using the 2.0-liter engine from the compact "45" models.

The Lexus LBX, a small luxury crossover, has been officially unveiled as the new entry-level model positioned below the UX. It is based on the same GA-B platform as the Toyota Yaris Cross but with different styling to fit Lexus' design language. The LBX is powered by a hybrid powertrain with a three-cylinder, 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing a combined output of 134 horsepower. It will be offered with a choice between front- and all-wheel drive, with all configurations coming exclusively with a continuously variable transmission. The LBX is the company's first model for which development primarily took place in Europe and is scheduled to enter production by the end of this year and go on sale in Europe along with additional markets in early 2024.
