National Harbor to host 6,000-seat immersive Sphere-inspired venue
Maryland officials plan a 6,000-seat immersive venue at National Harbor, modeled on Sphere in Las Vegas; it would be financed with about $200 million in public and private tax incentives and subsidies, making it Sphere Entertainment Cos.’ smaller “mini-Sphere,” and is expected to generate about $1 billion in annual economic activity for the DC region once built.
