IBM Expands AI Platform and Cloud Offering with $2.3 Billion Acquisition
IBM has announced its plans to acquire Software AG's enterprise integration platforms, StreamSets and webMethods, for €2.13 billion ($2.33 billion) in cash. The acquisition aims to strengthen IBM's artificial intelligence and hybrid cloud offerings. Software AG's platforms provide application integration, API management, and data integration services. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in Q2 2024.
