Nissan Rogue Recall Expands to 642K SUVs Over Engine Gear and Bearing Issues
Nissan is recalling about 642,700 2023–2025 Rogue SUVs over two recalls of the 1.5L VC Turbo engine: one (26V081) targets a faulty electronic throttle control gear that can fracture due to ECM software, potentially preventing gear engagement; the other (26V080) addresses engine bearing failures linked to high engine oil temperatures that can degrade lubricity and cause bearing seizure and possible engine damage. Cars already covered by a previous recall will require the new remedy (ECM reprogramming and, in some cases, an oil-pan debris inspection). Dealers have been notified and owners will start receiving notices late next month.
