
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Star André Braugher Succumbs to Lung Cancer
Andre Braugher, the Emmy-winning actor known for his roles in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Homicide: Life on the Street, died at the age of 61 from lung cancer, according to his publicist. Braugher's death came as a surprise to many, as he had kept his private life largely undisclosed. He had previously quit smoking and drinking. Braugher had a successful career in Hollywood, with notable roles in films like Glory and a lead role in Homicide: Life on the Street. He was nominated for Emmys 11 times and won two, including one for his portrayal of Captain Ray Holt in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
