Emmy Campaigning Faces Uncertainty Amidst Writers Strike
The TV Academy is offering networks and studios the option to cancel their upcoming Emmy FYC events if the writers strike limits the possibility of continuing such an event. The Writers Guild has stated that writers are prohibited from making promotional appearances about their work until the strike concludes, causing confusion among networks, studios, and writers. The TV Academy has provided three options for networks and studios with booked FYC events: proceed with the event as originally scheduled, proceed with the event as scheduled with an adjusted panel or without a panel, or cancel the event altogether.
