The Colorado Springs Fire Department is currently battling flames and smoke from two houses on fire, with a third alarm ordered to assist. The fires are located at a single family residence off Vista Del Tierra Drive, and a second home. KRDO13 is on the scene to gather more information.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department is assisting in fighting a fire on the grounds of the Air Force Academy, located on the south end just west of the Pine Housing area, with no evacuations ordered at this time. The size and scope of the fire are currently unknown, and all guests of the Academy are advised to avoid the area and follow instructions from first responders. This is a developing story with updates to come.
