"Multiple Lightning Strikes Ignite Dozens of Fires in Oregon's Douglas County"
A lightning storm in Oregon has sparked nearly 20 fires in Douglas County, with the Tyee Ridge complex threatening homes and structures. Governor Tina Kotek has invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act and requested additional resources for the Cougar Creek fire. In Clackamas County, firefighters are battling the 225-acre Camp Creek fire near the Bull Run Watershed, while the Horse Creek fire in the Willamette National Forest has burned around 25 acres.
