Multiple Discoveries of Human Skeletal Remains in Rivers and Parks in Nebraska.
Human skeletal remains were found in the Elkhorn River in northeast Nebraska by a group of swimmers. The authorities recovered the remains and will work with forensic scientists to determine if they are historic or from a more recent death. Three partial skeletal remains have been found in separate locations near the Elkhorn River since the severe flooding in 2019, all of which were historic remains from the 19th century or earlier.
