Minnesota Student Freed From ICE Detention After Advocacy Push
Elizabeth Zuna Caisaguano, a 10-year-old Columbia Heights fourth-grader, and her mother were released from Texas’ Dilley ICE detention center after nearly a month, following calls from school officials and Minnesota Gov. Walz; they’re now in a Texas shelter awaiting a possible return to Minnesota as a habeas corpus case proceeds, while other Minnesota students remain detained.
