Pennsylvania Grandmother Found Dead After Sinkhole Fall
The body of 64-year-old Elizabeth Pollard was recovered from a sinkhole in Unity Township, Pennsylvania, after she fell while searching for her cat. The search, which lasted about 80 hours, involved numerous fire departments and other groups. Pollard was found approximately 12 feet from the sinkhole's opening, in an area above an abandoned mine described as a 'mini town.' Authorities are addressing concerns about potential future collapses in the area.
