
Lotte Kopecky Dominates Women's Road Race at World Championships
Lotte Kopecky of Belgium won the elite women's road race at the World Championships in Glasgow, becoming Belgium's first elite women's road champion in 50 years. Kopecky made a decisive move on the climb of Scott Street with 5.5km to go, dropping Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig of Denmark. Demi Vollering of the Netherlands finished second, while Uttrup Ludwig took third place.
