"College Basketball Game Delayed as Team Gets Stuck in Elevator"
Fairleigh Dickinson's NCAA men's basketball game against Long Island University was delayed for 17 minutes after members of the team got stuck in an elevator just before the game. The players were trapped for about 10 minutes before being rescued, and the game eventually ended with FDU winning 84-82 in overtime. Despite the unusual delay, FDU's junior center Ansley Almonor described the night as one of the most memorable in his career, as he also reached the 1,000-point milestone in the league's history.
